Alternative selectivity to ODS column in reversed phase mode
In reversed phase mode, the selectivity of Inertsil CN-3 is characterized by pi-pi interactions offered by the triple bond in Cyano group and hydrogen bonding interactions. Inertsil CN-3 is able to separate structurally similar compounds, which is difficult for standard alkyl-bonded phase including ODS columns.
Compared to other Cyano columns on the market, Inertsil CN-3 is modified to bond with Cyanopropyl groups more densely. Therefore, Inertsil CN-3 offers high durability without being endcapped. It can be washed with 100% water eluent as non-specific adsorption of water is reduced

High selectivity and durability in normal phase mode
Because of the high bonding density of Cyano groups, Inertsil CN-3 offers higher selectivity than other Cyano columns.
The retention strength of Inertsil CN-3 is moderate compared to other normal phase columns of GL Sciences. Inertsil CN-3 is available for analysing a wide range of compounds.
