Rapid analysis of large molecules
As the pores of the Silica gel are wide (300Å), Inertsil WP300 C8 is capable of separating large molecules including proteins and peptides with moderate retentivity. Inertsil WP300 C8 elutes faster than with Inertsil WP300 C18 with sharper peaks.
The figure below shows the separation of proteins using Inertsil WP300 C8 and Inertsil WP300 C18.
Inertsil WP300 C8 is sufficiently endcapped. Therefore undesirable absorption of basic compounds is minimized. Inertsil WP300 C8 offers consistant performance in a series of analyses.
Repeated analyses of proteins by Inertsil WP300 C8 are shown below. The peak shape and the peak area are consistent throughout the series of analyses. This excellent reproducibility is supportd by the superb endcapping technology.
